Our client was charged with malicious wounding after her estranged husband falsely reported that she attacked him. We took the case to trial, showing that he had initiated an argument and then claimed that she was the aggressor, as well as exaggerating injuries in his police report. The judge reduced the felony charge to a misdemeanor, and our client avoided a felony conviction and significant prison sentence.

Our client was falsely accused of fraud after a bad breakup. He hired us after having been convicted of felony fraud. We fought to reopen the case, by demonstrating that the alleged victim had lied in her testimony. The judge agreed to reopen the case, and the prosecutors later dismissed the charge without a trial. We immediately filed to expunge his record of the false charges.
We represented a school employee falsely accused of abuse of a student. After losing her job and livelihood, she hired us to appeal the case. We appealed it twice, showing that there was no evidence to support the allegations, and the family who accused her had ulterior motives. On the second appeal, the finding was reversed and the complaint dismissed and our client was able to clear her name.
We represented a client wrongfully charged in a string of home burglaries. In fact, another person had committed the crime and police mistakenly thought our client was involved because he had socialized with that person in the past. Facing years in prison, he maintained his innocence. We took the cases to trial and successfully presented alibi evidence that our client had been in the hospital with his wife and newborn child during the time the burglaries were committed. The judge dismissed all charges against our client.
We successfully appealed the conviction of a client who was convicted of a gun charge after the car he was driving was illegally searched during a traffic stop. The trial court allowed the jury to consider the illegally-obtained evidence, but upon appeal of the jury verdict, the Court of Appeals agreed that the search was illegal and the evidence was thrown out. Our client’s conviction was reversed and dismissed.
We successfully obtained a writ of habeas corpus for a client who was convicted of multiple counts of sex abuse and sentenced to years in prison. We established that he had received ineffective assistance of counsel and misadvise which violated his constitutional rights. He was released and his case resolved with probation.
Our client was falsely accused of sex abuse charges by a vindictive family member in a domestic dispute. Our client was arrested and held in jail on completely false allegations. We worked closely with the prosecutor to show that our client was not guilty of the accusations, and established with expert testimony that he was not a danger to anyone. He was released and the charge dismissed, and his record expunged.
Our client was falsely accused of stalking and assault by someone he met on a dating website. He was arrested and held without bond. We proved his innocence by immediately preparing evidence of his alibi, and by uncovering records that the same alleged victim had made identical false allegations against another person in the past. Our client was released from jail, his charges were dismissed pretrial and his record expunged.
We represented a man who was falsely accused of rape by someone with a personal grudge against him. Facing multiple counts and decades in prison, we took the case to trial and successfully proved that the alleged victim had fabricated the allegations. All charges were dismissed and our client was immediately released from jail.
We represented a young mother of two small children who was charged with malicious wounding after defending herself against her abusive partner. After years of physical abuse, one day she stood up for herself and fought back, injuring him. The police charged her with malicious wounding, a serious felony that carries up to 20 years in prison. We took the case to trial and she was found not guilty.
We represented a mother sued in federal court under the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction. Our client had fled an abusive relationship with her small child, and the father was trying to force their return. We took the case to trial and proved that he was abusive and therefore she was justified in leaving with the child. The federal judge dismissed the suit against her, and our client was able to start a new life here with her daughter.
