Miriam Airington-Fisher is a criminal defense attorney who dedicates her career to helping those who have been accused of crimes. As the founder of Airington Law, Miriam has remained steadfast in her mission to build her practice into one of the most aggressive, reliable, and successful criminal defense and immigration firms in Virginia. Miriam works with a team of outstanding attorneys, compassionate legal assistants, and dedicated support staff who are fully committed to providing exceptional criminal defense and immigration support for our clients.
A graduate of the University of Miami School of Law in Miami, Florida, and George Washington University in Washington D.C., Miriam has always been drawn to the work with clients falsely accused of crimes, and families impacted by our complicated immigration system. Miriam lives in the Richmond area with her husband and their three children.
Jennifer Quezada – Attorney
Growing up in the Dominican Republic, Jennifer’s lifelong dream was to become a defense attorney and advocate on behalf of others. After moving to the United States to study, Jennifer graduated from the University of Central Florida and obtained her law degree from the College of William and Mary, and later became a naturalized U.S. citizen. After working in public defenders’ offices, Jennifer decided to move into private practice. She joined Airington Law as a dedicated and passionate advocate, and handles criminal trials and appeals.
Bianca White – Attorney
Bianca has a passion for criminal justice and appellate advocacy. She has worked with the ACLU and is a published author on the ‘school to prison pipeline.’ A graduate of William & Mary Law School, Bianca clerked for an administrative law judge and interned in the federal district court prior to joining Airington Law. She focuses on legal research and writing, and appellate and post-conviction advocacy.
Nely Guzman – Senior Immigration Paralegal
Nely has 15 years of experience as an immigration paralegal. She works closely with the attorneys on family petitions, residency, and naturalization applications, and preparing cases for court. Prior to joining Airington Law, she worked as a paralegal for a legal aid organization and an immigration law firm. In addition to her work as a paralegal, Nely is active in the community as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and crime victims. Nely emigrated from Honduras in 1996, and her personal experience drives her dedication to clients going through the immigration process. She lives in Chesterfield with her family.
Stephanie Yanira Canas – Immigration Paralegal
Yanira is an immigration paralegal assisting clients with family petitions and residency and citizenship applications. Yanira was drawn to the legal field through personal experience – her parents emigrated from El Salvador and made incredible sacrifices to become citizens and raise their family in the United States. Yanira grew up in Colorado and moved to Virginia to raise her own family in the Chester area.
Eduardo Valle – Client Experience Coordinator
Eduardo joined Airington Law as the client experience coordinator, and works closely with clients to guide them through what can be a frightening and stressful process. He is the point of contact at our office for all clients. Prior to joining the team, Eduardo worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. Eduardo emigrated from El Salvador, and his personal experience with the U.S. immigration system underlies his compassion and advocacy for our clients.
